North Fields began in Naranjo, Alajuela, and most of our coffee is still harvested there. Our cacao comes from the regions of Guatuso and Upala, where the climate and soil are ideal for growing cacao. The tour takes place in La Fortuna, where we live and where all the processing, roasting, and chocolate-making happens.

In La Fortuna, we handle the full production side of what you see on the tour. This includes drying and milling the coffee, roasting it, grinding it, and packaging it.
